2 Chronicles 32:7 “Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him.
Sometimes the Spirit of discouragement tempted us to give up, especially when we felt betrayed or mistreated. Discouragement is one of the tools that the enemy uses to defeat us by making us feel unworthy, alone, and hopeless. Once we yield to this weapon, fear and doubt creep in, we start the self-pity, which takes us deeper. But, we also have the tool to counteract the Spirit of discouragement through warfare prayer. This simply is where we speak up and take authority over our Spirit of discouragement, command its power to be broken, and control through our faith in Christ.Father, we understand that You often use trials to redirect or position us. Sometimes it comes with great discouragement, but we know You have our best interests at heart. So, help us stand on Your Word when great disappointment or hardship comes our way. Lord, give us Your strength, wisdom, and knowledge, so the Spirit of discouragement will not overcome us. Lord, You have pledged Your love to us, and You promise to walk with us through every disappointment of life. Father, You are our Rock in uncertainty, our hope in discouragement. Because luck will pass, and we trust that you are sure of what the future holds for us even now. Lord, It’s so hard to trust in discouraging times, but grant us the faith to do so right now. In Jesus name Amen
