DON'T BE A DOUBTING THOMAS

John 20: 24-29 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.  25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." 26 A week later, his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." 28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

We all doubt God at times, but we should not allow our feelings to make us unbelievers when our Spirit show's us different; the more we study the Word, the closer we draw to Him, and the stronger our belief becomes. (Acts 1:8, But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me).  I am a witness; once we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we will feel His presence and have ears that hear.  As we study the Word daily, it nourishes our Spirit, which helps us develop Fruit, which allows us to act more like Christ. Thus, the Holy Spirit will strengthen our faith and help us with our unbelief.

Father, the moment we begin to think about our life and day-to-day struggle, doubt overtakes us, so help us stay focused on You and remove all doubt and fears from us.  Lord, thank You for preparing us for the storms, giving us comfort and peace through the storm, so we do not get weary and weak. Lord, let not doubt hinder our blessings from You, Father, even though You have proven Yourself time and time again, we still have questioning faith; Lord, let us not be thick-neck people,  but strengthen our faith and help us with our unbelief's.   Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit that enables us to achieve whatever You called us to do.  Lord, help us exercise and nurture our faith so that we will gain Your strength and stand on Your Word with confidence and understanding in good times and bad times.   Lord, thank You for making it possible to know You and experiencing an unexpected change in our lives.  Father, we come in unity asking You to remove all doubts and fears, give us Your courage and perseverance, in Jesus name, Amen.
