Stop saying people made you chose your actions, the only person in control of your actions is you; so lean self-control, through studying the Word. The more we study the deeper our relationship grows, then His Word will start to make sense; as your fruit develop, so will your understanding. Disciples of Christ developed self-control, by practicing what they had learned from their studies. The more we study, worship, fast, witness and praise the more we nourish our fruit that develops Christ-like character. Then we are able to tame our tongues, control our anger, forgive those who wronged us and show them, love, like Christ, loves us. When we get close enough to Christ we free ourselves from the flesh and the world’s influences. Remember to look out for those in need so they can see Christ through us.
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridled not his tongue, but deceived his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Father, give us a strong desire for Your Word, let it baptize us in the Holy Spirit; so we will be compelled to obey You, and walk in righteousness. Lord, teach us how to pray, by asking for the things of the Spirit and search our hearts to remove all that is not of You. Father, give us the faith of Daniel and the will of Christ so we can become Disciples. Lord, help us tame our tongues, let the words of our mouth bring honor to You and respect to ourselves; only lifting others ups as well as Your Kingdom. Lord, open our hearts and minds and fill us with love, compassion, kindness; so we will not be self-righteous, prideful, or think too highly of ourselves, but stay humble and not be influenced by the flesh or the world, always sharing our blessings, in Jesus name, Amen.
