PRACTICE THE TRUTH

Matthew 15:3-4  But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

We must be careful not to get caught up in religious rituals, customs, or laws, to avoid not receiving the Truth. God tells us to care for our parents, not put them in a nursing home when they get old. Coming up with traditions or methods to avoid our responsibilities of His will, doesn't make it right. Remember, "just because things have been done a certain way for a while, does not mean God changed His mind about it" God gave us free will, and we have developed a fondness for tradition and ceremonies, which is ok. Unless it replaces the true meaning of the Word

Lord, each of us will have to bear our sinful load. We who have been taught the Word must share all good things with those who don't know. So, let us not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever we sow will also reap. Those who sow to their own flesh will reap corruption and destruction from the flesh. But, the one who sows to the Spirit will reap Christ-like character and eternal life from the Spirit. So, let us not grow weary of doing good, for, in the due season, we will reap if we do not give up. Father, the Word tells us, "Not everyone who says to You, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of our Father, who is in heaven. So, give us, Your strength and courage to serve in Your will and not our own. Lord, on the day You return, many will say to You, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and cast out demons in Your name, and do many mighty works in Your name?' And You will declare to them, 'You never knew them; so, depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness. Lord, let our name be in the Book, help us practice what we have learned, so it will manifest in our lives, so You can recognize us by sight, in Jesus' name Amen.
