FATHER HELP US PRAY FOR OUR ENEMIES

Matthew 5:43-48 You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He makes his sun rise on the evil and good and sends rain on the just and the unjust. What reward do you have if you love those who love you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same.

Praying for those who persecute us is one of the most challenging commands we have to obey. But the Word tells us to bless, love, and pray for our enemies. So, we ask ourselves, "how can we pray for someone who has harmed us?" Of course, in the flesh, we can't. But all things are possible through the power of the Spirit working through us.

Lord, to walk with You, we have to act like You, so help us develop the Fruit that gives us Your character. Lord, today we pray for our enemies, not only to realize and forgive them; but to regain control of ourselves. Lord, baptize us in the Holy Spirit, which gives us strength and courage to forgive and move forward in the name of Jesus. LORD, let Your love flow through us and forgive us for holding on to anything that hinders our prayers, blessings,  and Spiritual growth. We release any unforgiveness, thoughts of revenge, or hateful emotions that can darken our Spirits. Father, give us wisdom as we seek Your knowledge of how to bless, love, and pray for our enemies. So, right now, Lord, we forgive those who: mocked us, persecuted us, lied about us, despitefully used us, or betrayed us. Father, search our hearts and minds and remove all thoughts that are not of You, to give You room to move in a mighty way. Father, let the Holy Spirit speak for us when we do not know what to say. Because this is so hard, Lord, we thank You in advance for victory. In Jesus' name, Amen 🙏
