DRESS TO DEFEAT SATAN

One day a heated argument broke out between two senior managers at our company. Normally these two got along well. What caused the outburst? I didn’t have a clue! Then I happened to read a book called Dealing with the Devil and realized we may have encountered Satan at work in our business—a new thought for me! The book went on to describe the authority we have in Christ with this analogy: Suppose a person, dressed normally, is standing in a busy traffic intersection— cars coming from all directions. He waves his arms wildly trying to stop traffic, but the cars keep whizzing by. Then he makes one change. He puts on a policeman’s uniform. The results are totally different. Drivers immediately comply.

What changed " His clothing". When you “clothed yourselves with Christ” We will have the authority to deal with spiritual opposition, just as the policeman does in the flesh. So' “put on your full body armor taking authority over the unseen forces stirring up trouble around you. "To my amazement, the problem with the managers evaporated just as quickly as it had erupted, because one of them was clothed in Christ. Instead of feeding the fire one of the managers said " I am not sure what I did but I am sorry, blessings to you and walked off.  The devil was defeated as soon as he said he was sorry and back off; he did what Christ would have done, that's how we defeat the Devil.

Satan was defeated when Jesus went to the Cross, yet he continues to exert influence on the earth. What are we to do? The Bible says: “Resist him and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). In other words, put on the policeman’s uniform!

Father, help us dress ourselves each day in full body armor so we will be prepared for the Spiritual battles that await us every day.  Lord, let the Holy Spirit fill Your temple and give us guidance, correction, and protection as we walked through the valley of death.  Father, give us eyes that see the unseen and ears that hear Your direction around it, give us Your wisdom and the knowledge to implement You in our daily walk, so we do not get lost.  Lord, do not let us walk in circles for forty years because of our complaining, doubts, and fears.  Search our hearts and remove all that is not of You and replace it with the things of the Spirit, that will strengthen our faith and help us with our unbeliefs so we will not waver.  Father, thank You for forgiveness and for Your strength and courage to forgive.  Thank You, for removing the obstacles that use to make us stumble and fall and give us self-control so we do not turn back.  Father, let us not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from You, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. Lord, let us only follow the spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. Father, this world is full of antichrist, which You said would come.   But we are Your children, You dwell in us and we have overcome them, for You that is in us is greater than he who is in the world.
