DO NOT FEAR

Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Fear will keep us from living and moving forward. Fear can stop us from loving again or taking chances.  Fear will keep us from forming a good and sound relationship with God and others.  FEAR is the weapon that the enemy and the oppressors use against us.  Fear brings on worry and anxiety that will make us weak and afraid, so they are able to control our lives.  Fear will creep upon us in a minute, especially the unknown. Things like watching a loved one dying, the potential of losing a job, sickness, or just day-to-day struggles.

Lord, we all struggled with fear and worry at some point. But in time, we began to find that the things that once would have sent us down an anxious spiral, no longer had the same effect. Because, the more we trust God, the more mature we become and the less fear we have. Father, give us Your love and power that will replace our fears and build our trust in You.  Lord, Your love will cast away our fears and give us peace and comfort that only You, can give.  Father, we confess that we forget what we have learned and sometimes we feel all alone, without protection. Lord, let us know this is a lie, let us feel Your overwhelming Spirit in these times of doubt and fear. Lord, we repent of worry and fear, that comes from not trusting You. Father, You did not give us a spirit of fear, so replace our fears with Your power, mercy, and grace, in Jesus name Amen
