Jesus had one ambition; to please God, and as His followers, we should have the same ambition. We start with receiving Christ as our Savior; the second step is studying His Word until it fills our hearts, and then acting on the knowledge we gained. (Psalm 40:8 we desire to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within our hearts.) We must also pray and seek God’s plan for our lives, abandoning all things that lead to strife. Then we will find peace in the presence of adversity; and have new meaning in our lives, as we replace selfishness with the noblest of desire, God’s will.
Father, we proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; we do not seal our lips, about Your truth. Lord, we do not hide Your love and mercy in our hearts; but we speak of it faithfully, to all those that will hear us. Lord, please do not let us grow weary of doing good and waiting, for Your return. Father, vindicate us, and plead our cause against an ungodly nation; and rescue us from racism, envy, jealousy, and hate. Father, please deliver us from generational curses and strongholds, so we will not hinder our blessings from You. Lord, help us love You; as You love us, and help us become more Christ-like. Father, give us the patient of Abraham, the endurance of Job, the faith of Daniel, and the strength of David. Father, we thank You for hanging naked on the cross; so we might be clothed in grace, in Your name we pray, Amen
