God has not changed His mind about sin; it even says so, in the New Covenant, His grace gives us an opportunity to live. In Matthew 5:17 Jesus tells us “think not that He came to destroy the Law”. The Law still exists and we still must obey them; Christ did not sacrifice Himself so we could live in sin, He died so we can have a choice to live by repenting and turning away from sin. Throughout the New Testament we are told we must still observe the Law; John 5:14, 8:11 Jesus tells us “to sin no more, sin is breaking God’s commandments that are listed in the New Covenant. Even in the Book of Revelation 14:12 we are told “here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev. 22:14 states: “blessed are they that do His commandments.”
Anytime we live against what is written in God’s Word; we are living in sin, and there is no exception to this rule, not even through man's law. Just because man’s laws changed; the commandments did not, and God’s Word overrules man’s laws, if the law goes against God’s will. God is the source of life, and He will extend that life to all who believe, and obey His Word. If we are continuously living are doing things that God commandments says we should not do; God does not know us because we are separated from Him. So do not listen to false prophets about God’s commandments; if the Law no longer existed, they would not be written in the New Covenant. Study the Word for your own understanding; because so many of us have the wrong understanding of God’s promise. We must repent and turn away from our sins; and God will restore us, through the grace of His Son's sacrifice.
Father, do not let us die; because of misunderstanding Your Word, and false teaching. Lord, open our hearts and minds; so we can receive the truth of Your Word, and not what makes us comfortable. Father, give us Your strength and courage to stand on what is written in the Word, and not what is said to us by man. Father, bring us out of darkness, into Your light through the power of Your Word. Lord, fill us with the Holy Spirit so we will not gratify the desires of our sinful nature. Father, lead us to those that understand and believe in Your truth; so we can be guided to You, through the teachings of the Word. Father, do not let us grow weary of doing good; and give us Your patience and self-control, while we wait for Your return. Father, let us make every effort to live in peace with all people; and live righteous lives, in Jesus name Amen.
