HOPE = Helping Ourselves Prepare for Eternity

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone needs to be reminded from time to time about the hope that God’s Word offers us.  When we study the Word daily, we learn Who Jesus is; and what He can do for us, if we believe, and stand on His Word with faith.  Jesus is our hope and way of life, and our way of life; is not just to make ourselves comfortable, it is something more.  We were created in Christ for good works; God had prepared a plan for our lives before we were born.  Our way of life is to serve, just as Jesus served us.  Doing good works, helping the least of us, forgiveness, loving each other, and serving God; this is our way of life.  God, gave Noah, his family, the animals, and the livestock hope of a better life; when He allowed them to live through a flood that destroyed the world as they knew it, and if we have faith in His promise, we too will have a hope of a better life, eternal life.

We pray that the root of hope fill all people with joy, peace, happiness, and love, Father, let the Holy Spirit overflow us with hope, love, understanding, and obedience.  Father, you said those who are wise should shine like the brightness of the firmament.  Lord, we ask that You allow this light to shine on our children and give them hope so that You can turn our children to righteousness.  Lord, You have called and empowered us to pursue a life that reaches out to others and honor You; we are no longer dead in transgressions and sins because You live in us and we live through You.  Lord, thank You, for saving us from the lives we use to live; when we followed the ways of the world, now Lord, we carry our cross for You.  Father, give us hope and equip us with the tools we need for our good works; as You prepare a place for us in Your Kingdom.  Lord, today let us give hope of a better life to someone who needs to or wants to receive You, in Jesus name, Amen
