THE BIBLE WILL CHANGE US IF WE STUDY

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you; unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God". 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

The Bible is what gives us rebirth; it is not just a book; it is the living Word of God, and it gives life to our dead Spirits.  The Word of God has the power to transform our lives from self-serving individuals to servants of God.  Once we receive Christ as our Savior and develop a relationship with Him through studying the Word, prayer, worship, and praise; we can tap into His promise and His power.  The Word will give us comfort, peace, joy, love, courage, strength, and faith. The Word enables us to defeat our enemies and conquer our fears.

Father, let Your Word penetrate our hearts and minds; so it can lay our flesh to rest, by giving us a desire for the things of the Spirit.  Lord, let Your Word give us correction, protection, guidance, forgiveness, joy, and peace in this loss dark world that we live.  Lord, let us not forget the sacrifice of Your Son; let the Holy Spirit compel us to see our need of Your Him so that we will develop Christ-like character.  Father, open the hearts and mind of our children and our children’s children so that they will draw near to Thee; help us teach them Who and What You are in their lives.  Lord, give us Your strength to hold on during the unpleasant times in our lives; so You can prepare us for something greater.  Lord, thank You for saving us and giving our lives meaning and purpose; thank You for keeping Your arms around us, and showing us Your love, attention, and how to live a righteous life.  Father, we give our will to You, help us develop the Fruit of self-control through the studying of Your Word and help us be submissive, in Jesus name, Amen.
