When we compare our lives to God's commands do we feel ashamed, if so we need to correct somethings in our lives? When we study scripture it shows us who we are in Christ or who we are in the world, that's called convictions. "John 3:19-21And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."People that live in the dark always have a problem with the Word of God, because it shines the light on who they really are, the Word of God exposes the TRUTH to us.
Lord, let our actions consistently reflect Your decrees, then we will not be ashamed when we compare our lives with Your commands. Father, none are perfect, but some of us do try to obey Your commands. Lord, help us live a life that is pleasing to You, following Your principles regarding right and wrong, not our own. Father, You said if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Not so we can keep repeating the same sins over and over; but that we may have true godly sorrow that will lead to repentance. Father, let our faith be the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen. Lord, search our hearts and minds and remove all that is not of You, so the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts and give us Your strength and courage to be submissive to You, in Jesus name, AMEN.
