Jesus knows us intimately because He became like us in every way but sin. Jesus came to us a servant, not the God that He is; only to teach us how to treat each other and live in peace. This was His way of showing us the extent of His love. But the world is in so much turmoil right now; from wars, terrorism, not to mention our children are killing and being killed at an alarming rate. More and more people are losing their jobs and shelter, homelessness and famine are out of control; in a time where we have the technology to grow food faster and so many homes that vacant. We need Jesus more than ever if we cannot see the need of God wisdom and knowledge then we are all blind. But, instead we are removing Him from every part of our lives; well enough is enough, we must put God back in our schools, jobs, and our lives. Everything is about money, no one cares about people anymore, or family values and our children are out of control because the government is interfering with the way they are raised.
Martin Luther King, Jr, couldn’t have said it better; we must learn to live together as brothers and sisters or perish as fools.
Father, keep us alert in prayer, as we await the arrival of Christ Your Son, so that, when He comes and knocks, He may find us watchful in prayer and exultant in His praise. Father, forgive us for falling short and removing You from our lives and our children’s lives; please restore us to You, and keep us in Your will. Lord, You formed our government and You are still in control; please touch their hearts, and give them Your love for all people. Lord, remove all that keeps us from sitting at Your feet or hindering our blessing. Father, let those that know Your Word, be submissive to You. Lord, bless those that are being sold as slaves over in Lybia, and persecute those who are responsible. Father, we ask for a special blessing for those who dedicate their time and finances to help others. Lord, have mercy on those that are homeless, sick and those that have lost their way, in Jesus name, Amen
