GOD CAN USE ANYONE EVEN A SINNER

Joshua 2:2-6 The king of Jericho was told, “Look, some of the Israelite's have come here tonight to spy out the land.” 3 So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house because they have come to spy out the whole land.” 4 But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. She said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they had come from. 5 At dusk, when it was time to close the city gate, they left. I don’t know which way they went. Go after them quickly. You may catch up with them.” 6 (But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax she had laid out on the roof.)

It’s the nature of grace that makes all sinners usable; Rahab was a prostitute that God used to hide the two spies Joshua sent to Jericho to look over the land, that He promised them. Rahab noticed the greatness of God in the movement of Israel from Egypt to the borders of Canaan.  Rahab knew the Israelite's could have never escaped Pharaoh and lived in the Sinai desert for all those years without God.  Rahab told the spies she knew God had given them the land, so she was determined to help them. Rahab kindness to the spies was returned with kindness to her and her fam ily when Israel conquered Jericho, and she was blessed for her obedience.

Father, we are the people who are called by Your name, thank You for giving Your only Son as our Savior.  Lord, we pray to You with faith and confidence, that we will receive Your grace.  Father, we pray for compassion and kindness, to be restored to us and this dark lost world. Father, You made all nation from one man, so we are all one blood.  Lord, we pray for the families that lost their loved ones in the line of duty Lord, give them Your comfort and peace.  Father, thank You for guidance and protecting us from our enemies and the evil of this world. Lord, thank You, for the nature of Your grace that makes us usable, for Your purpose.  Lord, we are all sinners, so let us not judge each other; because we are all the same in Your sight.  Father, bring those down that think too highly of themselves and lift those up that are humble as You order our steps in Your will.  Lord, let us not boast of our wisdom, strength, or riches, but let us boast about the kindness, justice, and righteousness of You.  Lord, this Nation has forgotten about You; we have removed You from our lives and our children lives, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Father, we are Your servants, do not reject us.   Lord, thank You for allowing us to have a relationship with You, and the peace and joy You have brought to our lives.  Father, strengthen our faith and please remove all doubt and fears, so we may develop Fruit and Christ-like character.  Lord, help us to be inward changed men and women, with a strong desire for the Word and the things of the Spirit, in Jesus name Amen
