Sometimes fighting the enemy means we may have to leave people and things alone, especially those that are double-minded to free ourselves from the enemy. People think the enemy is the flesh only, but fighting an enemy, could be the Devil, a demon, or anything else. The struggle is not just against the flesh, but against the powers of darkness and against spiritual forces of evil. We are fighting the enemy of envy, hate, jealousy, covert, greed, pride, fear, and doubt. Now most of us can deal with the enemy of the flesh, but it is the struggle with principalities, darkness, and Satan that we need Christ help.
Luke 9:1Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Father, we stand on Your promise that “No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against us in judgment You shall condemn. Lord, through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name, we will trample those who rise up against us. For we will not trust in our strength, but in You who saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. Lord, we will boast all day long, and praise Your name forever because You are our Savior who gives us guidance and protection. Father, examine our hearts and let not the Devil have a foothold in our lives so we do not act unworthy of Your grace. Lord, with Godly sorrow we ask for forgiveness and seek forgiveness of those we may have harmed by our words or actions, in Jesus name Amen
