LORD TEACH US HOW TO PRAY

Prayer is vital in our Spiritual walk; we need to pray without ceasing; especially for our children. Luke 5:16 Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.  God want to hear about our troubles that He may comfort us, tell Him our joys, that He may sober them; tell Him our longings, that He may purify them.  Talk to Him about our temptations, that He may shield us from them.  Some cannot thank of things to pray for; but, if we pour out all our weaknesses, needs, troubles, and fears, there will be no lack of what to say.  God is very personal and loves to talk with us about our needs and wants; however some of us do not trust Christ for our salvation, so we remain alienated from Him.  To have an effective prayer life, we must meet the conditions laid down in Word for effectiveness in our prayers. Although the Bible offers a great deal of guidance on how to deepen our communication with God, effective prayer has more to do with the one doing the praying than it does with how we are to pray.

When we go to the Lord in prayer we must have a clean heart and mind. We cannot go to God for comfort when we harbor hate, anger, and unforgiveness in our hearts.  God is love and we must approach Him in love for all, or are prayers will fall on deaf ears. James 4:3 We ask and do not receive because we ask with wrong motives. Proverbs 21:13 We shut our ears to the cry of the poor, will also cry himself and not be answered.  God bless us to bless others; when we have the means to bless others but don’t our prayers will fall on deaf ears. How can we expect mercy from God, when we show no mercy to our brothers and sisters.  If we pray for harm of another or with the wrong motives our prayers will fall on deaf ears; and God will turn an evil prayer back on us.  We must study the Word, for instructions on how to have an effective prayer life; and when we pray use not vain repetitions as the heathen do, just pray from our hearts.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom comes, on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever Amen

COMMUNICATE WITH GOD DAILY

Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.  Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?  And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, You who practice lawlessness

Jesus believed in the Bible and referred to it often because He trusted God’s Word.  The Bible has been given to us; so that we may know the author, and He can know us.  To know someone, we must communicate with them; and listen to them, to develop a relationship.  It is the same way we build a relationship with God; we must talk to and listen to Him daily.  We talk to God in prayer, and we listen to Him through His Word.  God wants to talk to us every day; so He can know how we feel, and what He can do to help us.  But, most of us only communicate with God when we are in need; and that’s not a good thing, He needs to hear from us when things are going right as well.  If we have a relationship with someone; but we only heard from them, when they are in need, how would we feel.   Talk to God every day just because we love Him, and listen to what He has to say; so we can deepen our relationship with Him.  As our relationships strengthen, so will our obedience to His Word.

Father, You are the Creator who shaped us; You are the One who knew the path we would take.  Thank You for carving us into Your image; please help us develop a relationship with You, through prayer and studying Your Word.  Lord, it is Your Words that give us guidance, protection, and hope; and our prayer life and faith, that activate Your promise and blessing.  Father, thank You for being a loving and understanding God; that forgives us over and over again, for our sins.  Lord, forgive us for our disobedience and living in sin; that  You died to set us free from, but we still let the chains of this world, keep us in bondage.  Father, we surrender our will for Yours; please give us a burning desire for Your Word, and fill us with the Holy Spirit to help us obey Your Word. Lord, we know we cannot do this on our own; so please come into our hearts, and deliver us from evil and ourselves.  In Jesus name, we pray, Amen

GOD IS OUR COMPASS

We must have faith in God’s Word to activate the blessings in our lives.  Faith comes from hearing the Word; everything that is written in the Word is to teach, encourage, correct, and give us hope.  The Bible is an unwavering compass always pointing us to the Truth, and it is that Truth that guides and orders our steps.  Jesus declared “He is the bread of life” and if we believed in Him we will never go hungry or thirsty.  Just as food to the body; the Word is to the soul, if we starved the body we will die, and if we starve our Souls it too will die.

Father, please let there be peace; in the people that are full of rage and hate, in this country, right now, in the name of Jesus.  Lord, thank You for Your faithful blessings and promise, even though we are still sinners. Father, help us guard our hearts, so that we may guard our tongues; and give us courage and kindness to apologize when we do say or do, things to hurt anyone.  Lord, free us from all things that hold us hostage; and do not let us imprison ourselves, due to lack of knowledge.  Father, let us feel the liberating love and joy, that comes with helping others; and let us continue to bear each other’s burdens.  Lord, teach us not to complain; so we do not hinder our blessings from You.  Father, let Your Word teach us, rebuke us, correct us, and train us in righteousness; so we the servants of God may be fully equipped for every good work.  Lord, thank You, for the price You paid for our sins; and help us be an expression of gratitude, peace, and love, Amen

OUR WORLDLY DESIRE KEEPS US IN THE FLESH

When we sell each other out; we sell out our entire existence, not only for the people we hate; but, for the people we love.  Stop letting our needs for worldly status and power destroy our people and our Souls.  Those that know God’s Word in Truth should understand this the most; because when we let status and money, overrule our beliefs and character, we are deep in the flesh.  Galatians 5:19-21 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, an outburst of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Father, help us lay our flesh to rest; and deliver us from pride and material thing of the world and replace it with things of the Spirit.  Lord, teach us how to respect and love each other, and help us overcome jealousy and hate.  Father, give us a strong desire for Your Word; so we may join You in the Spiritual realm and inherit Your Kingdom.  Lord, we thank You for another day of being in our right mind; and thank You for Your forgiveness, love, and favor.  Lord, let us be humble and not hungry for power and worldly status; so we will not sell our Soul for things of this world.  Lord, bless us and keep us in Your will, in Jesus name Amen

SUBMISSIVE NOT PERFECT

When we receive Christ; we become a new and redeemed existence.  Accepting Christ is the beginning of, receiving His Spirit; this is God’s gift to all believe that obey, His Word. Obey, His Word’s, with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, and faithfulness; against these things, there is no law.  God does not want us to be perfect; because, Jesus knows we are prideful, stubborn, people; and will not obey in the flesh.  So God gave us grace and instruction on how to live in the Christ-like character, of our new existence; filled with the Holy Spirit and ready to conform to the authority of His will and the needs of others.

We need to (Job 22:22 receive instruction from His mouth and establish His words in our hearts.)  We must study to (Proverbs 4:10 Hear, my Son, and accept His sayings; and the years of your lives will be many.)  Those that are developed Fruit (Proverbs 10:8 will be wise of the heart and receive commands, but a babbling fool will be ruined.)  We must come back to God and (Proverbs 19:20 listen to Counsel and accept discipline, that we may be wise the rest of our days.

Father, open our hearts and minds, and fill us with Your Words and the Holy Spirit; so we can obey You and become true disciples.  Lord, let us not take lightly Your discipline and reproved; because we know You love us.  Father, we thank You for the new life we found in following You; and we thank You for the love, peace, and joy, that comes with serving others.  Lord, thank You for the storms that taught us how to dance in the rain; and thank You for temptations that made us strong.  Thank You, Lord, for wisdom to walk away from confusion; and thank You for taming our tongue.   Father, give us Your courage to stand up for what’s right’; and the understanding and finances, to make a change.  Lord, remove our crab mentality and, replace our selfishness with self-sacrificing, so You can use us as a vessel to help others.  Father, our flesh will not let us be perfect; but through Your strength, we will be submissive to Your will, in Jesus name, Amen

ARE WE IN FULL ARMOR

We are fighting a Spiritual battle daily and we cannot fight this battle with things that are seen, this is an unseen battle in our hearts and minds.  We are fighting for control of our flesh; and since the flesh will never surrender this is an ongoing war until the body is laid to rest.   Our weapon of choice during the battle is the Word of God, THE ARMOR OF GOD.  With the armor of God, we are to take a stand against evil; that daily strives to destroy our faith.  So we must stay prepared for the onslaught of the devil, and his workers; with the faithful protection of God’s WORD

Ephesians 6:11-18 put on the full armor of God so that we can take a stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the power of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Put on the armor of God, so when evil comes we may be able to stand our ground.  With the belt of Truth around our waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, and our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition take up our shield of faith, to extinguish the flaming arrows of evil.  Take the helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  And be alert always and keep on praying for all Saints.

Father, thank You for another day; thank You for the hedge of protection You have around us.  Thank You, for all the Spiritual Soldiers You have surrounded us with; to help us with our battles.  Thank You, for Your Son’s sacrifice for our sins, and Your mercy and grace. Father, we ask for wisdom and knowledge of Your Word; and fill us with Your Spirit, as You prepare us for our daily battle.  Lord, help us put on our belt of truth, so we may preach Your gospel; and the breastplate of righteousness so we will not judge, but pray for each other, as we lift each other up.  Father, help us put on our shoes of readiness; so we will keep our Lamps burning, for others to see.  Father, strengthen our faith as we extinguish the flaming arrows of our enemies with Your shield.  Father, open our hearts and minds, as we put on our helmet of Salvation; and our Swords of the Spirit, so we will be victorious in our day-to-day struggles.  In Jesus name Amen

SOMEONE IS IN NEED OF PRAYER

Father, deliver us from the hands of ourselves; and from the hands of the enemy. Lord, You are our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. Father, right now there's someone in pain, Lord we ask for deliverance, Lord there's someone in need of a job; who has been diligently seeking, let them find work. Father, someone marriage is in trouble right now; who try to follow your marriage instructions, let them have peace and understanding. Lord, we pray for everyone chained by lust, addictions, racism, greed, pride, and hate; we ask for kindness, self-control, and LOVE. Father, we pray for all lost generations that do not know You; and we ask for forgiveness for removing You from their lives. Father, touch the hard-hearted, with wisdom and knowledge, and the strength to change. Lord, You are our ROCK, in whom we take refuge and our Savior. Our Savior from our enemies, the flesh and the Spirit realm; You are worthy of our praise. Father, give us a strong desire for Your Word, Your wisdom and knowledge, and the faith, strength, and courage to activate Your instructions in our lives. We call out to You now for deliverance from chains of this world and replace them with YOUR SPIRIT. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen

THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 there's a time to be born and a time to die
A time to plant and a time to uproot
A time to kill and a time to heal
A time to tear down and a time to build
A time to weep and a time to laugh
A time to mourn and a time to dance
A time to scatter and a time to gather them
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing
A time to search and a time to give up
A time to keep and a time to throw away
A time to tear and a time to mend
A time to be silent and a time to speak
A time to love and a time to hate
A time for war and a time for peace

Verses 1-8 speak of an appointed time for everything but understand what these verses mean.  The 6th commandment says, "Thou shall not kill" then why does the Scripture say a time to kill?  It is a sin to kill premeditated, but it is not a sin to kill to protect yourself, your family, and our Country.  We also know God is love; so why does the Scripture say "a time to hate"; the Verse in Revelation 2:6 explains," but this thou hast, that thou hate the deed of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.  It is alright to hate a person's acts or lifestyle but not the person; the more we study the Word, the better understanding we receive.  Hate is a feeling that can be godly and sinful; it all depends on what and why we hate.  We should not hate people for things they have no control over, like how they look or their skin color; this is a sin.

Lord, let us not kill unless they're trying to harm us, our families, or our Country.  Father, teach us not to hate people because of the color of their skin.  Lord, give us a better understanding of Your Word and teach us how to implement Your Word in our lives.  Father, we thank You for Your mercy, grace, and favor; and we ask for forgiveness of our past, present, and future sins.  Father, thank You for life, health, and strength, and continue to guide and keep us in Your will.  Lord, keep Your hedge of protection around us, our family, and friends, and help us love our enemies; in Jesus' name, Amen.

MY QUOTE FOR TODAY

WE MAY BE THE ONLY BIBLE PEOPLE READ, PLEASE ALLOW GOD'S LIGHT TO SHINE SO THEY CAN SEE HIM

PROCRASTINATION IS DELAYED OBEDIENCE

Struggling with indecision, laziness, and hesitation, we become procrastinators, and procrastination is a sin. A procrastinator is as bad as someone destructive; most destruction is done by waiting. Procrastination is avoidance because of fear of failure, anxiety over whether we can perform that task that keeps us from starting, so we miss many opportunities, like education, jobs, or relationships. Procrastination also comes from laziness, which stagnates our growth and accomplishment. Most procrastinators are double-minded and unstable; they will postpone the most superficial things because people feel they always have tomorrow. For example, you get a speeding ticket, you have thirty days to pay, but you keep putting it off, you miss the deadline, now you have a warrant for your arrest, all because of procrastination. God says, "do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. So whoever knows the right thing to do, do it and stop depending on tomorrow; because tomorrow may never come?

Father, we ask that You give us a greater appreciation of time and give us order in our lives; so we may know the right thing to do and give us the courage to do it promptly. Lord, we pray for guidance; please help us set good time priorities and stick with them. Father, give us self-discipline and take away our fears and doubt; so we may not postpone what we should do. Lord, empower us to ask others for help; when we do not know how to get started or finish. Father, give us confidence in our ability to perform, no matter the circumstances. Lord, please help us break the chains of procrastination; empower us in our weakness, so we will be productive. Father, help us be focused, organized, and understand the importance of time; in Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

The Shepherd will keep us safe; as long as we keep our eyes on Him, so we do not wonder off into the world and get lost.  Jesus wants us to admit to our sin; the sins He gave His life for, so we would not have too.   Once we admit to our sins; ask for forgiveness, and turn away from our transgressions.  Then we will walk in peace; even through adversity, because Jesus goes before us and that calms the storm.  Now we will have some dark days; this is why we study daily, to keep the lamp burning.  As long as we walk with God; we walk in protection, we walk in guidance, and we release ourselves from the world.  However’ that does not mean our enemy has given up; but we do not need to fear him, if we keep the whole armor of God on, we are protected from evil.   Our Father gives us everything we need; when we obey His instruction goodness, mercy, and prosperity we will have, and He keeps His promise.  Then we will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

BULLY MENTALITY

Proverbs 6:16-19 there are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among people.

A bully is haughty, they will lie, they like to shed blood; they definitely like causing drama, they devise wicked plans and always doing evil work.  They find their self-worth by making people lower than themselves.  This is how they feel powerful, but in the eyes of God and His people they are weak.  Bullying is nothing but uncontrolled anger and unpredictable irritability, that is directed at the weak people (Safe Target) or those perceived as a threat.  Bullies have uneasy Spirits, they always want to be the center of attention; their normally loud, and always have people around them they consider low life’s, because in their minds that elevate them.   The devil also uses this behavior to control us; since Satan works in the Spiritual realms, he uses addictions, pride, hate, envy, and jealousy to bully our flesh.  Satan uses things to bring us down in the flesh; then he weakens our Spirits, which diminish our faith. This gives Satan/ bully Spirits a feeling of power and superiority in their own minds; because people of faith and strength see Satan/ bullies for who they are; a psychopathic Spirit/ person who is criminal and cannot be trusted, a Spirit/ person who lack a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.

Father, give us good moral principles; and help us lift each other up, and speak positivity in our lives.  Lord, give us protection from Satan and bullying Spirits; from people that mock us, persecute us, lie on us, and say all sorts of evil things.  Father, Your Word tells us to be good to our enemies; so we’re asking for Your strength and gentleness, to help us obey Your Word. And we will stand on Your Word that; “no weapon formed against us shall prosper; every tongue that rises against us shall be condemned, because we are Your children.”   Father, You tell us not to resist evil people; that if they slap us on the right cheek turn to them the other cheek, because we are superior to them, so we may  allow You to fight our battles.  Lord, give us Your courage and self-control to endure; humiliation from those who are bullies, evil, and wicked, so we will honor You by not allow them to steal our peace.  In Jesus name, Amen

THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Sell your possessions and give to the poor (Luke 12:33), because you cannot serve God and money (Matthew 6:24).  For where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also (Matthew6:21).  Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.  This too is meaningless (Ecclesiastes 5:10).   My mother loved money and she owned a lot of property; but when she had a stroke, none of it meant anything.   Family members took her money out of the bank; they tried to sell one of her houses before she even died, the Word tells us this will happen.  Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal (Matthew6:19).

Father, help us guard against all kinds of greed; because life does not consist in the abundance of our possessions.  Lord, let not the love of money corrupted us and brings dishonesty into our lives because dishonest money dwindles away.  Father, keep us from being eager for money; so we will not wander from the faith and pierce ourselves with grief.  Father, let us desire You, more than we desire money; so we will hunger for the things of the Spirit, and not the things of the world.  Lord, we understand that we need money to live in this world, but we need things of the Spirit for eternity in Your Kingdom.  Lord, let us not be so materialistic; and keep our flesh at rest, so we can become the people You created us to be, in Jesus name, Amen

FATHER HELP US DEVELOP OUR FRUIT

There are millions of Christians that do not live a Christian lifestyle. Why, because so many Christians do not study the Word, pray, worship and praise. So they do not develop their Fruit of the Spirits. The Fruit of the Spirits is the key to living a Christian lifestyle and studying the Word is the only way to develop your Fruits. Have you ever attended Church and spoken to someone and they did not respond, that person's Fruit of love and kindness is not developing. If you're in Church Sunday morning; and sleeping with a married person Sunday night, your Fruit of self-control is not developing. We all have a Fruit we need to develop, and the Word is the fertilizer to help our Fruit grow. Our Fruit is what gives us Christ-like character, and that character is what brings light into our lives.

Father, help us develop our Fruit of the Spirit, that sums up the attributes of a Believers life.  Lord, give us Your love, joy, peace and forbearance; so we can be more Christ-like, and live our lives in obedience.  Father, develop our Fruits  of kindness, goodness, gentleness; so we will not think too highly of ourselves, and do unto others as we do unto ourselves.  Lord, give us self-control so we will not desire the things of the flesh; but, follower the things of the Spirit, so we will walk in Your will, and not our own.  Lord, help us make every effort to be faithful; and remove all doubt and fears, through the knowledge of Your Word.  Father, thank You for the forgiveness of our sin; thank You for life, health, and strength, as well as mercy, grace, and favor.  In Jesus name, we pray, Amen

KEEP THE DOCTRINE

Proverbs 19:16 He who keeps the doctrine saves his life, but the despiser of the Word will die

We need a contrite Spirit the kind of Spirit that is pleasing and acceptable to God.  People with contrite Spirits are genuinely sorry for their sins, and their souls will not rest until they repent and ask forgiveness.  But, the carnal Spirit that despises the Word of God; and give in to their crude desires and appetites of the flesh will perish, it is written.  Those who live according to the flesh are hostile to God’s Word; their minds are set on what their nature desires, but those that live according to the Spirit have their minds set on God’s Word, which gives life. (Romans. 8: 5 for they that are after the flesh do the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit do the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh and cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.  10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.)

Lord, let our minds be controlled by Your Spirit, which results in peace.  Father, help us fight this Spiritual battle that cannot be won in human terms.  Give us the strength and courage to change the things that can be changed; accept the things that cannot be changed, and give us the wisdom to know the difference.  Lord, give us forbearance doing suffering and pain; and let us not complain.  Father, we want You to be the center of our lives, so help us surrender all to You, in Jesus name Amen
