If people said they loved you but only talk to you when they are in need of something, how would you feel. If someone made a promise to you when their down and out but break that promise when they get on their feet, how would you feel? If someone said they did not believe in you, but will call on you when all hell breaks loose in their lives, how would you feel? If you were waiting for a person, you love to change and kept waiting no matter what, how would you feel. If all the people they trusted and spent time with turned their backs on them during times of trouble, and that would be the only time they talked to you, how would you feel? I am not sure how I would feel, but I know the Lord still loves you. If you have not spoke to the Lord today now is a good time.
Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. Forgive us for our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us draw near to You with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let Your Word dwell in us richly. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that we may live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, and being fruitful in every good work. And, by being renewed in the spirit of our minds that we put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering: bearing with and forgiving one another. So we dwell together in the unity of the faith, recognizing those who labor among us, esteeming them highly in love for their work's sake. I pray we all speak the same thing, with no divisions among us, standing fast in one spirit, striving together for the faith. Father, we know we fall short of Your mercy grace and favor, but we are trying to do better. Lord, help us lay our sinful nature to rest and draw us near to Thee. We thank You for the forgiveness of our sins past, present, and future, as well as life health and strength. In Jesus wonderful name, Amen.
