ACCORDING TO GOD’S DESIGN

Genesis 1:31 Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good! But because of our disobedience in the Garden we were cursed with a sinful nature ( Romans 3:23) For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s excellent standards, yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous.  So God gave (John 3:16) His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

God originally planned for all people to live in peace and harmony, with a specified purpose of worshiping and walking with Him.  But, after sin was introduced into the Garden of Eden; God’s plan was broken, because of our disobedience.  Since then we have insisted on doing things our own way, and the consequences of our ways are separation from God.  But, because of God’s love for us, He did not leave us in our brokenness.  God knew we would not be able to live by the Laws, so He sent His only Son to us in the flesh “Jesus.”  Jesus was able to live perfectly as a human according to God’s design; this allowed Him to do for us what we could not do for ourselves.  He took our sins to the cross and paid the penalty through His death so that we may live.  Now because of Jesus sacrifice we can go boldly to the throne and asks God for forgiveness; turn away from our sins, and be restored to our Father.  Once God restores us to Him, we begin to find meaning and purpose for our lives.  Then Holy Spirit empowers us to recovery God’s design and obtain eternal life.

Father, You created us in Your image with Your Spirit, to serve a particular function. But, because of our sins we were separated from You; and because of Your love, You restored us through the death of Your Son.  Lord, we thank You that there is no judgment against those who believe in Him.  Lord, thank You for bringing us out of darkness into Your light; and giving us eyes that see and ears that hear.  Father, Your Son, is our source of hope; and He fills us with joy and peace, above all human understanding. Lord, as we study Your Word, it gives us encouragement to wait patiently for Your promise to be fulfilled.  Father, we are so grateful that You are convinced that we are full of goodness; and sorry that we are not the people You designed us to be.  Lord, we thank You for the Holy Spirit that complies us to obey Your Word and gives us guidance in this lost world.  In Jesus name Amen
