GRACE, SALVATION, AND ETERNAL LIFE ARE THREE DIFFERENT THINGS

God’s grace is given to us regardless of our worth or merit, grace is one of the essential attributes of God.  To be delivered from the power of sin, we have to accept Christ as our Savior.  Jesus is the only way to receive salvation from our sins.  The Word tells us “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved” (Acts 16:31). “Repent, therefore, and turn away, that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19, ESV). “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).  If we believe Christ died for our sins and was resurrected, we will receive Salvation.  Salvation is the deepest meaning in the Spiritual realm of life; and the clearest teachings of the Word.  But do not assume we automatically have eternal life; because our past sins have been forgiven, we must abide in the Word of the New Covenant to receive eternal life.  Matthew 1:21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Jesus didn’t die to give us a free and automatic eternal life card, like so many like to preach and teach today. He came to save us from our sins through the atonement so that we could enter into the New Covenant of Reconciliation, wherein is eternal life.  We cannot walk in the flesh and receive eternal life, we must walk in Spirit.

Lord, so many people, assumes that because they say they receive You as their Savior, they automatically have eternal life.  Father, teach us through self-study how to walk in the New Covenant, and let us not be misled by false teachings.  Lord, help us understand that we must live as we are instructed in Your Word; to receive the gift of eternal life.  Father, so many believers, feel they can live in sin and still be saved; give us the actual insight of our shortcomings and the penalties we face.  Father, help us interpret the Word in Your will, so we do not lead others astray.  Lord, the Word clearly states “do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  So, Lord, right now we repent and ask for forgiveness, and we turn away from these sins, in Jesus name Amen
