JESUS ASCENDED AND THE HOLY SPIRIT DESCENDED

Soon after Jesus ascension, the Holy Spirit descended on Jerusalem, and thousands became filled with the Spirit.   Act 2; 1-4 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. “God said He will pour out His Spirit upon all people who follow Him.  Some of us will see visions, some dreams, and some will prophesy”.  Act 2:19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.  20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  Just like the disciples received the Holy Spirit when Jesus died and ascended, we receive the Holy Spirits when we die to ourselves, through the WORD.

Father, You allowed Your Son to die for our iniquity so that we may live through faith in Him.  Lord, You are always with us, and it makes our hearts glad.  Father, thank You for not leaving our souls among the dead, rotting in our fleshy grave; Lord, You have shown us the way of life through the WORD and filled us with the joy of Your presence.   Thank You for pouring out Your Spirit to us, and adopting us into Your Holy family, and giving us the same rights as Your Son Christ.  Lord, remove any obstacles that keep us from sitting at Your Feet, or hindering our blessings from You.  Lord, help us nourish our Fruit daily and strengthen our Gifts of the Spirit.  Father, You said that if we call on Your name we will be saved, so please hear our call, please save us and keep us in Your will, in Jesus name Amen
