When we are born again, we are like babies, and as infants, we have to mature as Christians. So we nurture our children with food and love, and we nurture our spirits with Faith and the Word. If we do not nurture our children with food and water, they will die, and if we do not nurture our spirits with the Word of God, they will die. But sometimes, no matter what we do for our children, some may never grow up, just as some Christian never mature.
But if we want to partake of God's divine nature, we must have Faith. Faith is the foundation 2 Peter 1:5-7, and besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 2 Peter 1:8-9 for if these things are in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he who lacked these things is blind, cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Most Christians are not sure what they believe in, and if we cannot make up our minds about what we believe in, we cannot have Faith. Our Faith is the foundation for our entire Christian life. Luke 1:4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. When we are not sure of what we believe, it opens us up to Satan. When Satan attacks us, the first thing he breaks down is our beliefs. Satan used the same attack on Christ, Matt.4:1-3. Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to Him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Christ believed in His Father; most Christians are unsure what they think.
Lord, we believe in You to increase our Faith. We trust in You to strengthen our Faith. Lord, Your divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of You who has called us. Lord, You have given us Your great and precious promise so we may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption of this world caused by evil desires. Father helps us not be worldly people but true disciples and helps us develop our fruit of the Spirit; love, patience, kindness, goodness, joy, peace, faithfulness, and self-control. If we possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will help us be efficient and productive in our lives and our knowledge of You. Amen
