CONFIDENT ATTITUDE TOWARDS GOD

Daniel was the perfect example of self-control and spiritual morals. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego remained faithful to God even when their lives were at stake. So likewise, we need self-control when loving You, Lord, walking in Your ways with obedience. We want to have the belief and faith in You, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that whatever we do it will exalt You. Daniel and the others knew You have the power to make a man insane and then restore his sanity. They knew You have the authority to restore sight to the blind and give life to the dead; this is the faith we long to have, Lord.

In reading Daniel, we understand that the nearer we are to God, the more self-control we have. Everything we do will exalt Him; our walk is our testimonies. We are to let nothing and no one distract us from God; our eyes must stay on the prizes. We are to live in such a way that others; will long to know the God we serve.

Father, we are worldly Christians; but we are maturing in faith. Lord, give us the self-control of Daniel and the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Lord, teach us how to be steadfast and help us not waver under the pressures of this lost world. Lord, we want to live a pure and disciplined life. So, for this reason, we will make every effort to add to our faith goodness, knowledge, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love. Father, we understand our choice to walk with You won't be easy, but neither was Your sacrifice to save us. So we come to You with an open heart and mind that we may be filled with Your wisdom and knowledge to live like worthy servants. Lord, please strengthen our faith and help us with our unbelief and help us abstain from our sinful ways, in Jesus' divine name

Amen
