Proverbs 16:9 the heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.
When we follow our will instead of God’s will, we will always fail. So many times I have witnessed people in the position to make a change, but begin to focus on self. (Self meaning a person’s character and their nature, self-absorbed people are draining to the people around them. They also receive joy from reminding others about “their “good qualities and never mentioning their bad qualities!). Then they become very prideful, and destruction comes soon after. I have had the displeasure of knowing people that felt they were better than other, only to become the people they felt were beneath them. Then we have those that felt their careers or education made them stand out in the crowd, only to find themselves lost in the crowd. If we stayed humble, we would all be worthy of mercy and others. When we are put in a position to help those who are less fortunate, that is our purpose and if we do not serve that purpose not only will we lose the job we will lose ourselves.
Lord, if you help us right now, we will turn our life around!” Father, teach us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, and by presenting our lives to You. Lord, allow Your peace which transcends all understanding, to guide our hearts and minds. Lord help us understand that You cannot entrust leadership, responsibility, and power in someone who is casual about their relationship with You, but You trust those who strive to please You and uplift Your kingdom. Father, take our free will to give You the opportunity to work in our lives and move in unprecedented ways throughout this world for a change, in Jesus mighty name Amen.
