The Bible contains the will of God and His plan for our lives, but we must study the Word to know it and practice the Word to make it work. 2 Timothy 3;16-17 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
When we study and hear the Word of God; it begins to change us into the image of Christ; the things of the world are no longer necessary to us. The Word sets us apart from the world because our values are connected to the Spirit. This is why God works through the heart. We live in a system ruled by Satan; the Word helps free us from being controlled by the system; our flesh is where Satan operates, and we need the Word daily to keep the flesh at rest. If Jesus resides in us, we have the will to resist sin and obey His Word. He will give us the strength and power to release ourselves once we repent and ask for help. But, we must commit ourselves to Him daily; to make this work. We must pray without ceasing not only for ourselves but for others too, even our enemies: fellowship with other believers, worship and praise Jesus for His goodness. And believe in His promise. The Word will make us live in such a way people that who do not know Christ will want to.
Father, each day as we come into Your presence through Your Word and prayer, let it reproof, correct, and instruct us in righteousness, that we may be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work." Lord, give us ears to hear the Word that will help us transform into a Christ-like character. Father, as we study the Word, let it cleanse us, so our Savior will have a place to dwell in our hearts; and the Holy Spirit will remove all envy, hate, jealousy, and strife; and replace it with compassion, love, kindness, faith and all things of the Spirit, that will help us mature and obey. Father, open the hearts and minds of those that hear us speak Your Word and let them receive what's good, "especially our children and our children's children," as we witness the goodness of You. Lord, thank You for forgiveness and give us Your strength to forgive those who wronged us. Father, thank You for guidance, protection, and grace, in Jesus' name, Amen.
