Romans 8:1-39 there is therefore now no condemnation for
those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you
free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the
law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the
likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, so that
the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live
according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those
who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
... Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, Acts 3:19 Repent, therefore, and turn again,
that your sins may be blotted out, Luke
5:32 I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
Come as you are meant just that; come to God right now as
you are, and He will receive you. God
says, “No, no! We do not have to clean up our act. Just bring all our problems
to Him, He has all the answers. Come as you are, and through His Word, our
belief, prayer, repentance, worship and praise; He will renew our hearts and
minds, as we turn away from sin. Come as
you are; did not mean we would stay as we are, if we receive and believe in
God’s Word, we will change. God is not asking us to make a promise we cannot
keep; by never sinning again, God is asking us to believe a promise that He can
keep. “ Belief in His Word will change our lives, and we will be saved” Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by
God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong
in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is
right. God uses it to prepare and equips His people to do every good work.” 2
Peter 3:9 the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand
slowness. Instead, He is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but
everyone to come to repentance.
Lord, help receive Your Word in truth and surrender our will
for Yours, so we will receive correction and realize what is wrong in our
lives. Father, teach us that studying
Your Word, believing in Your Word, and acting on the Word, is what transform us from sinners and give us Christ-like character. Lord, those that
follow You; know we cannot live in sin, and receive Your promise. Father, Your Word, says we must repent and
turn away from sin; or we will perish.
So, help us change our sinful ways Lord; strengthen us where we are
weak, so we will give up what the sins that separate us from You, In Jesus
name, Amen
