PEACE COMES FROM GOD

Jesus came to a world in turbulence; and while the enemy of God watched, He built a kingdom.  We too have that same power; so do not let your hearts be troubled, trust in God and help build His kingdom.  Then the Father will love us, and we can come to Him and make our home with Him.  Since we have been justified through our obedience, we have authority through our Christ.  We no longer have hearts and minds of sinful men and women; but we are controlled by the Spirit, which gives us life and peace.  So we must make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the Word; which exceeds all understanding, so we can live in peace with each other.

Romans 14:17 He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in His flesh the law with its commandments and regulation.  His purpose was to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility.  He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.  For through Him, we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Father, those who believe in You are of one Spirit; no matter what race or color, we are one through You.  Lord, help us live in peace through Your Word that unites us.  Father, do not let man and his religions separate us from You; give us eyes that see and ears that hear, so we will obey Your Word.  Lord, if we love You we will walk in Your way; and keep Your commands, then our relationship with You will grow deeper.  Father, serve Your purpose in our lives; so whatever we do will exalt You, and not things of the flesh.  Lord, search our hearts; and remove activity or avocation, that would detract us from Your immense love.  Father, the closer we walk with Jesus; the less self-control is an issue, so if we are disobedient to Your Word, we are far from You.  Lord, we will avoid anything that does not bring honor to You; because we are conformed to Christ image, and love You as He did in the flesh.  So help us make every effort to add to our faith goodness, and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; in Jesus name, Amen
