A MOTHER’S JOB DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVES:  give our children the love, guidance, and education required to live in this world; and the wisdom and knowledge of how to study the Word, teach our children who and what God is in them, and to them.  Give them a loving, gentle, and kind Spirit through the Word to help the less fortunate, and raise our children in a Bible teaching Church.

EDUCATION:  Master’s Degree in Mothering and a Ph.D. in Parenting
POSITION:  Teacher, Doctor, Counselor, and Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION:  team player, willing to be hated, loved, misunderstood, and keep an understanding about it at all times. Starting salary is nothing the first 18 years; maybe if they become millionaires they might take care of you. Candidates must have living quarters and willing to work 24 hours days, weekends, and holidays, especially Christmas.  No sick days, or vacation days; you might be able to take a lunch or a break sometimes, and you are on call for the rest of your life.  You may have to travel with a moment notice to places like the hospital, school, and recreation centers; and you will have to provide your own transportation.  You will not get paid for gas no matter what the reason is for traveling.  There are no 401k plans, no insurance unless you purchase it yourself; and the only incentive is the love and growth of our children.  Oh, yeah you may have to break up a few fights, and be in control of disciplinary actions.  This is a process of dealing with behavior that does not meet, Christ-like standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for their education, entertainment, development in Spirit and life.  God must be a daily part of their lives if we expect them to be productive in this lost world. You must “(Proverbs 22:6 )  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.  (Deuteronomy 6:7)  You shall teach God’s Word diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.   (Proverbs 23:13) Do not withhold discipline from the child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die.  Those that do not follow these rules will (Proverbs 13:24) Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. (Proverbs 29:17) Discipline your children, and he will give you rest; they will provide delight to our hearts.    Employment starts as soon as you bring a child into this sinful world.  Now to be prepared for the job you will need to be married.

Lord, help us bring up our children in the way to go, do not let our children fall into the enemy hands.  Lord teach us how to draw our children near to thee; Father, give them a desire for Your Word.  Lord, put a calling on their lives and help them serve Your purpose.  Father, give them Your will and not their own; and keep Your hedge of protection around them.  Father give us patient and love for all our children and give those that come in contact with them a kind and gentle Spirit for them.  Lord, order their steps and keep them covered in the Blood, in Jesus name Amen
