The Bible is the word of God, and it is powerful and life
changing. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 is God first
promise to us. “All Scripture is
inspired by God and is useful for teaching for reproof, correction, and
training in holiness. So that the man of
God may be fully competent, and equipped for every good work." God’s Word shares His divine authority, and
that authority is exercised through those who are ministers of the Word. Now if they preach the truth of God’s Word,
it makes us realize what is wrong in our lives.
It will correct us and teach us to do what is right. God’s Word also enables us to share in His
divine nature and escape our sinful nature caused by our worldly desires. God’s promise us in “Jeremiah 29:11-12 He has
a plan for us, says the Lord, a plan for our welfare, not for woe! Plans to
give us a future full of hope. And when
we call Him, when we go to pray to Him, He will listen to us." The Word tells us "If we look for God
wholeheartedly, we will find Him."
God promise us that His Word has the power to change our
lives; we just need a real desire to change.
The Word will deliver us from whatever sin, addiction, or problem we
face; I know because He delivered me.
Once He delivers us He will give us guidance to the plans He has for us,
a plan for good and not a disaster.
Father, right now there’s someone who needs to hear You,
Lord in their minds they want to change, but the devil has a toe hold on
them. Lord, give them the desire to seek
You wholeheartedly so they will find You.
Lord, use us as a vessel to draw them to Your Word, so Your divine power
can change their hearts and lives right now in the name of Jesus. Father release them from drugs and alcohol
addictions, release them from prostitution, release them from whatever chains that
have them bound and equip them for every good work. Lord, show them Your plan for their lives, a
plan to give them a future full of hope.
Father, You said, if we call You when we pray you will listen to
us. Please hear us now in Jesus name
Amen.
