We all have sins that we need to be delivered from or a Fruit we need to be pruned. (1 John 1:8-10 If we go around bragging, “We have no sin,” and then we are fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth) No one in the flesh is perfect, no not one. No matter how saved we are, as long as we are in the flesh we are capable of sinning. (Ecclesiastes 7:20 there is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and never sins.) Some of us need to prune our discipline, just like David could not control his lustful desires for Bathsheba; or like Samson for Delilah. Some of us need to strengthen our faith, like doubting Thomas; others need love; whatever we are dealing with God can and will deliver us or keep our flesh at rest.( Hebrews 4: 9-11 “Let us, therefore, strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.) But we must repent, ask for forgiveness and turn away from that sin and God will restore us. (Acts 3:13 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.) No we are not perfect, but we do not have to be perfect; because Christ became our perfection and He lives in us. Once we accept Christ as our Savior, BELIEVE He died and rose in three days AND OBEY HIS WORD, we are saved.
Lord, thank You, for the Holy Spirit that compels us to be obedient and do good works. Lord, thank You for sympathizing with our weaknesses; and allowing Your only Son to pay the penalty for our sins. So when we fall short of Your mercy, we can be restored if we repent, ask for forgiveness and turn away from that sin. Father, let us, therefore, approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to strengthen us in times of need. Lord, we come to You because we are weary and burdened, and we know You will give us rest. Lord, help us stay gentle and humble in the heart so that we will find peace for our Spirits. Father, if You are not part of our lives we labor in vain. Lord, it is You and only You that gives sleep to those who follow You, and for that, we are so grateful. Lord, thank You for life, heath and Your strength, in Jesus name Amen.
