Over 2000 years ago God gave the world Moral Codes to live by, and Jesus tells us “"Don't misunderstand why He came to live on earth. He did not come to abolish the Morals Codes of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, He came to accomplish their purpose. So the Moral Codes still exist, we are just not held accountable for breaking them as long as we ask for forgiveness, repent and turn away from sin. We live under grace now, but, God stills feel the same way about sin. He did not send His Son here to free us from death so we can live in sin, but to give us a way out of punishment for our sins. So the Ten Commandments still are the profound instructions for how we should live. If we followed the Ten Commandments, we would be a Holy Nation, and ninety percent of our problems would solve.
Exodus 20:1-17 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt. Thou shall have no other gods before me. Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image; or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath. Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD, thy God, am a jealous God. Which will curse your children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shall not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall thou labor, and do all thy work, But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shall not do any work. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them, and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God give thee. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not covet thy neighbors’ house; Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s.
We love You, Jesus, we worship and adore You, please help us understand Your purpose of dying for us. Father, give all Nations the same wisdom and knowledge of Your Word so that we can live in harmony and love with one another. Lord, sin has gotten so bad in our Nation, that even Your Churches, Spiritual Leaders, and Teachers do not honor You as they should; Father forgive us for they know not what they do. Lord, we have disgraced what You created for good, living as we desire instead of how You instructed us too. Father, help those that walk with You in truth and obedience, teach those who do not so that we can become the Holy Nation we claim to be, in Jesus name Amen.
