WHEN WE WALK IN THE FLESH, WE WALK IN DOUBT AND FEAR

Matthews 8:26 He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?”* Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

We all have room for Spiritual growth and improvement, especially in times of trouble.   God KNOWS our faith is not strong enough to stand on His Word alone in difficult times. Why? Because we are in Spiritual warfare daily, and if we fight this battle daily in the flesh, we will get weary.   So we need “no, we must” be in full body armor (the Word) at all times.  Even the strongest believer needs to study the Word daily; we must study to remain active in the Spirit and strong in faith.  Studying develops decrement, wisdom, knowledge, self-control and keeps us focused as we walk with Christ.  When we are not in the Spirit, we are in the flesh, and most of us spend more time in the flesh than we do in the Spirit.  Now when we walk in the flesh, we are unprotected, so we feel alone and afraid, and that fear causes us to make bad decisions. But, when we walk in His will, we won't be afraid, although we know there’s much to fear because we know the God we serve has the power to rebuke our troubles and give us peace in the storm.

Father, strengthen our faith and help us with our doubt and fear.  Lord, when we are in the middle of a storm, surround us with Your presence so we may not be afraid.  Give us a strong desire for Your Word so that we may walk with You daily.  Lord, help us fight our daily battle in Your will and keep a hedge of protection around us.  Father, forgive us for doubts and worry; because we are in the flesh.  Lord, continue to broaden our territory and shield us from pain.  Father, remove every obstacle that keeps us from sitting at Your feet and hindering our blessing, in Jesus' name Amen.
