PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH

Romans 3:21-23 21 Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal, but do you steal? 22 You say it is wrong to commit adultery, but do you commit adultery? You condemn idolatry, but do you use items stolen from pagan temples? Greek do you steal from temples? 23 You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it.

We must practice what we preach, we cannot talk about what others do; and do the same thing, how can we speak of a thief, when we steal ourselves. How can we judge those that disobey the Word, when we too are disobedient.  All things hidden will come to light, so focus on our own sins, and God will take care of everybody else.

Father, we are sinners, saved by Your grace; help us show the same mercy when we talk about You to others because we are no better.  Lord, teach us that by judging others we pass judgment on ourselves for our sins; although are sins are different, it is still sinning.  Father, let those who are mature in the Word, help lead those that are young; because our growth was made possible only through You and not our self-control or will, so let us show the same mercy toward others.  Father, let us not be crabs in a barrel, but, lend a helping hand to our brothers and sister to lift them up; as we help build up Your Kingdom and each other.  Father, help us trust in You, and not lean on our own efforts.  Father, give us a love for the Truth and let us not be misled by false teachings.  Lord, we thank You for hanging naked on a cross so that we might be clothed in grace.  Father, let us not be ashamed of the gospel, give us Your strength and courage to speak the Word to those that need to hear "the TRUTH, the Word has not changed, our interpretation of Your Word has"; because of false teachings. Lord, continue working in and through us; and thank You for another day to get it right with our souls, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
